Contrat de travail aux EAU
A written agreement between employer and employee governed by UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (effective 2 February 2022). The 2021 law abolished the distinction between limited and unlimited contracts — all UAE employment contracts are now fixed-term (maximum 3 years, renewable). The contract must specify: job title and description, commencement date, workplace location, working hours, remuneration (basic salary + allowances), leave entitlements, notice period (30-90 days), and probation period (maximum 6 months). The contract must be registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) through the Wage Protection System (WPS).
