Our story
At a time when cross-border commerce between Europe and the Gulf was accelerating at an unprecedented pace, our founding partners — award-winning legal consultants from major global law firms and financial institutions — recognised a gap no existing firm had filled: the need for a genuinely integrated practice that could navigate French civil law, English common law, and the commercial legal frameworks of the Middle East with equal authority.
They established GSDA at 10 Place Vendôme in Paris — one of the world's most iconic business addresses — and built outward: first across France to Grenoble and Marseille, then to Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Manama, Kuwait City, Muscat, and Cairo. Each office was not a flag on a map, but a genuine presence with local legal consultants, local knowledge, and deep relationships within that jurisdiction's business and regulatory community.
